This handmade blue sapphire 18 karat gold ring is exceptionally beautiful. I had this fine blue sapphire recut especially for this ring to perfect proportions-and it shows! The color of the fine blue sapphire is a luscious, deep and brilliant blue. Some dark toned gems, like blue sapphire, can tend to be overly dark when bezel set, but this gem shows exceptionally fine color throughout. The sapphire is bezel set in 18 karat white gold, with nice engraved detail. The three gold balls on each side of the engraved sides adds a very pretty touch. NOTE: The very facets that create the beautiful sparkle in a loose gemstones or gemstones set in jewelry may create optical illusion white or dark/black spots and areas, or uneven coloring when a gemstone is photographed. This effect also applies to photographing highly reflective metals such as gold and silver.
